Digital identification
NBU's BankID, right inside monobank
Verify your identity online — no paperwork, no lines, no hassle
What is BankID NBU
BankID NBU lets you verify your identity online — say, when you’re using a government, financial, or other online service. It shares your data from the bank with that service, but only once you’ve approved it.
How it works
- On the service’s website or app, choose BankID NBU as your verification method.
- Pick monobank or Universal Bank from the list.
- Confirm the action in the monobank app.
- Check what data the service is asking for.
- Approve the transfer.
That’s it — the service gets what it needs to provide the service. No separate BankID sign-up required. Just have a monobank account.
Cost
Verifying with BankID NBU is free in monobank.
What data can be shared
It depends on the service you’re verifying with. This can include your full name, date of birth, tax ID number, document details, address, phone number, and email. Before you confirm anything, we’ll show you exactly what’s being requested — the choice to share it is yours.
Limitations
BankID NBU only works with websites and apps connected to the BankID NBU System. Your data can never be shared without your confirmation. This might not be available if:
- you’ve only completed simplified remote verification;
- you don’t have a tax ID number;
- your profile is registered as a child’s account.
Verification can also fail if the service isn’t connected to BankID NBU, if monobank or Universal Bank isn’t in the bank list, or if your profile is missing required data.
