International transfers

It depends on what you need:

• SWIFT / SEPA — bank transfers using account details, better suited to larger amounts
• Western Union, MoneyGram, RIA — quick transfers using a reference number, ideal for smaller amounts and cash pickup
• Payoneer — for freelancers and entrepreneurs

Receiving a transfer is free across all supported systems. Any transfer fee is paid by the sender.

• SEPA — within a day
• SWIFT — up to 2 business days

USD, EUR or UAH. The sender picks the currency.

The exchange rate is set by the payment system. Check its website for details.

To receive a Western Union, MoneyGram or RIA transfer, give the sender:

• your full name in Latin characters, exactly as shown in your international passport;
• the country where you’ll receive the money;
• the currency you want to receive it in.

1. Ask the sender for the transfer reference number. For Western Union, you’ll also need the sending country, amount and payout currency.
2. In mono, go to “Other payments” and select “Receive an instant transfer”.
3. Choose Western Union, MoneyGram or RIA.
4. Enter the reference number and follow the prompts in the app.
5. The money should land on your card within a few minutes.

It arrives automatically — there’s nothing you need to do. This is usually cheaper, but the money can only be received in UAH and is converted at the payment system’s exchange rate.

1. In the app, go to “Other payments”, tap “Receive an instant transfer”, then choose Payoneer.
2. Sign in to your Payoneer account.
3. Check your balance and enter the amount you want to withdraw.
4. The money should arrive within a few minutes.

You pay Payoneer’s standard fee, usually 3% of the amount. mono doesn’t charge anything extra.

You can withdraw USD or EUR from your balance. The money lands on the matching mono currency card without conversion — so EUR stays EUR and goes straight to your EUR card, for example.
